This dance performance is called Butoh-

It comes from the post WWII Japan in the late 50’s. It is considered as Obsessional Art, with a fascination for the void, violence, sex, grotesque, and all the dark sides of the human experience. This dance is a response to the Anpo treaty of 1960 in Japan, and intents to critic the Western domination of the time, as well as reflect a common unstability and madness in the post atomic-apocaliptic Japan culture.
